Hi, I’m Drew Elliot Easley.

I’ve spent 17 years in IT, software development, and cybersecurity — long enough to have strong opinions and the war stories to back them up. For a while, that meant running a little consulting shop called AgileSyndrome. I’ve since shuttered the doors: the invoices stopped, the slide decks went into the recycling bin, and not one part of me misses a status-update meeting that could have been an email.

The work itself? Never left. I’m still developing, still security-nerding, still having an unreasonable amount of fun doing it — arguably more now that nobody’s paying me to pretend to enjoy meetings.

This site is my corner of the internet: projects I build because they should exist, open-source PRs I send because a bug annoyed me, and the occasional blog post when the kids, the bike ride, and the dinner prep allow.

I never did shake the AgileSyndrome symptoms, though:

• Working in small iterative changes, rather than large unmergable code branches
• Exuding passion about automating builds, deployments, and rollbacks
• Writing and running automated tests with every commit
• Using infrastructure as code with industry standard tools like OpenTofu, Terraform and CloudFormation

Side effects may include a Certified Kubernetes Administrator badge, strong opinions about CI pipelines, and an unreasonable affection for Toronto streetcars.
